Description
Arcturus Space & Intelligence is seeking a Satellite Systems Engineer to join our team. The position is for specialized engineering, analysis and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. We support the development of space-based national security-related systems. The position is for an engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services to an IC customer. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical review and assessment of concepts, systems and technologies
- Advise on issues of feasibility and applicability of relevant new technologies to future satellite architectures
- Analyze architecture alternatives to enhance performance
- Prepare deliverables that include analysis, presentations, documentation and recommendations
- Provide technical support to acquisition, source selection and programmatic processes
- Develop acquisition support documents, conducting verification and gap analyses
- Develop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, brief government and industry as required
- Provide technical support to customer activities
Qualifications
- Must have an active TS/SCI with poly
- Bachelors degree with minimum of 15 years of relevant experience or 12 years with Masters
- Strong technical understanding of systems engineering and integration of satellite systems and subsystems
- Experience designing and developing satellite buses and/or payloads
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to manipulate and maintain large and complex models and analyses
- Familiarity with intelligence organizations, disciplines, systems and processes
- Demonstrated understanding of the intelligence mission
- Experience performing modeling & simulation and comparative analysis
